News report: October 30, 2026. Release window: November 2–8, 2026. The first full week of November brings a varied entertainment calendar, from a quieter new Kings of Leon record to a scripted series about Muhammad Ali and a Korean drama arriving on Netflix.
The Associated Press previewed the upcoming releases on October 30. The selections span music, film, television and video games, offering audiences several choices beyond the usual blockbuster launches.
Kings of Leon take a more reflective direction
Kings of Leon are preparing to release O My Beloved on Friday, November 6. The record takes a more acoustic approach than some of the band’s earlier work. According to AP reporting, frontman Caleb Followill began exploring a different sound after an injury prompted him to spend more time with an acoustic guitar.
Other music arriving during the week includes Skepta’s The Fork and Knife, described as his first solo full-length release in seven years, and Rex Orange County’s Dream Fatigue. Their different styles should make for a particularly varied week of new listening.
A Muhammad Ali drama arrives on streaming
Prime Video is scheduled to debut The Greatest, an authorized scripted series about Muhammad Ali, on Wednesday, November 4. Jaalen Best plays the boxer, and the full eight-episode season is set to arrive together.
Elsewhere, Netflix’s British spy drama Black Doves returns for a second season on November 5. Disney+ and Hulu are introducing The Remarried Empress, a Korean fantasy-romance series adapted from a popular webtoon, with an initial batch of episodes and a weekly rollout afterward.
Films and games to watch
South Korean filmmaker Lee Chang-dong’s Possible Love, which earned recognition at the Venice Film Festival, is due on Netflix on November 6. A documentary about the making of Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette is also scheduled to stream on Mubi that day.
Video-game audiences can look for an updated version of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, featuring revised visuals and controls. Release dates and platform availability can vary by region, so viewers and players should check their local services.
This is a preview of announced releases, not a review of titles that have not yet debuted.
