Our approach to accuracy, transparency and accountability.
News Today seeks to publish informative, understandable journalism and explainers based on verifiable information. We recognize that trust depends not only on what we publish, but on how we handle uncertainty, errors and commercial influence.
Accuracy and sourcing
We aim to verify significant factual claims using reliable sources such as primary documents, official statements, direct reporting and reputable news organizations. Where possible, we attribute claims and link to supporting sources. Unconfirmed allegations should be clearly labeled as allegations, and evolving situations should be described with appropriate context and timestamps.
Independence and conflicts
Advertising relationships should not dictate editorial conclusions. Sponsored material must be clearly marked. Any meaningful conflicts of interest that could affect coverage should be disclosed when relevant.
Use of artificial intelligence
AI tools may assist with research organization, article outlines, drafts, translation, metadata and illustrative artwork. We do not treat AI output as verified evidence. Factual details, quotations, statistics, names, dates and sources require appropriate verification before publication. AI-generated images used as illustrations should be labeled so they are not confused with authentic images of real events.
Headlines and updates
Headlines should reflect the article accurately, without knowingly misleading readers. Substantial updates to developing stories should make the timing and nature of new information clear.
Corrections policy
If we identify a material factual error, we aim to correct the published article promptly after verification. Material corrections should be noted clearly, including what changed and, where helpful, the date of correction. Minor typographical or formatting changes may be made without a formal correction note. We do not silently rewrite significant factual claims to conceal errors.
How to request a correction
Email contact@news-today.site with the article URL, a description of the issue and relevant evidence. Requests are evaluated based on accuracy and supporting documentation; submission does not guarantee an amendment or removal. We may contact you for clarification.
Opinion, analysis and guest submissions
Opinion or analysis should be distinguished from straightforward reporting. If guest posts or outside contributions are accepted, contributors remain responsible for truthful statements and appropriate rights to submitted material; submissions are subject to editorial review.
